Here is the first version of the pay deal; this is the one that provoked the threatened strike action.

Offer 1: Effective from April 2002. 1.7% increase in basic pay, or £250, whichever was the higher. £150 extra backdated to April 2002. £150 extra payable from January 2003. Second year increase (payable April 2003) of 3% to make the full deal worth 6.3%
