What is the company structure?
In the UK, BAA employs approximately 10 000 staff. One third of these work in security (security guards, supervisors and security duty managers.) In addition, World Duty Free (WDF) is BAA's specialist travel retail subsidiary. BAA is responsible for all heating and lighting within its airports. The company shows all the signs of being organised along functional lines. The main functions of the business - all represented by a group director - are: retail, technical, finance, services, and planning and regulation.
