What type of people do you recruit? What do you look for in employees? What is the selection process?We look for people who express an interest in Fairtrade / development / trade issues; preferably who like chocolate / food; and seem enthusiastic and quick (intelligence; not athleticism). Obviously different jobs need different skills but that is a general summary. Fundamental to running the company has been getting a great team of people to work with you. As a Fairtrade business we put people first in all areas of the business. I have been very lucky to put together a team who share my determination and enthusiasm for the challenge. It is important to work with people who believe that it is possible to change the future and who have the energy to make it happen.
