Prizes

So what's the incentive? Besides learning about tax policy and how wages are taxed , there are some great prizes on offer:

A2/AS/Applied Business competition:

  • £1000 for the winning team - school prize to be spent in the department.
  • Individual team member prizes (to be confirmed).

GCSE competition:

  • £300 for the winning team - school prize to be spent in the department.
  • Individual team member prizes (to be confirmed).

Winners and runners up in both competitions will be invited to a prizegiving lunch in London following the Spring Budget. Travel expenses from within the UK will be covered for team members and up to two teachers per team.

Notes for Lecturers and Teachers

Both competitions are sponsored by the Chartered Institute of Taxation and BDO Stoy Hayward. The GCSE/GNVQ competition is linked to KS3 Citizenship and to TaxTalking teaching materials and has been designed with reference to the syllabi for GCSE and GNVQ courses in business studies.
