Accusations of Fat Cat pay increases were further fuelled with the news that the chairman of Shell has had an 83% pay rise, taking his total pay package to £1.59m. The basic salary of Phil Watts rose from £496,302 to £607,398 while his bonuses rose from £225,000 to £455,000.
