09 November 1997 On the eve of its annual conference the CBI publishes a survey, conducted after the Chancellor's 27 October House of Commons' statement on the Government's position regarding EMU, showing that 72% of respondents support UK entry into EMU when conditions are right (when economic convergence is in place). 16% do not support UK entry and 11% are undecided.
