Adverts were run that suggested that if you did not buy a pint of Heineken then an advert featuring Paul Daniels singing would continue to be screened.

The most recent advertising campaign consists of workers in a supermarket in Holland dressed in leather and bondage gear who throw out a man who asks for a different beer to Heineken - the parting gesture as he leaves is 'weirdo'!

There is also the advert where a drinker is pulled from their house late at night because they left some dregs in the bottom of a glass. They are shown round the brewery where Heineken is brewed in 'sideways tanks'.
