Tourism in the Countryside - Lesson Plan
Aim:
To investigate and analyse the development of tourism in the countryside. The lesson will focus on the key milestones in the development of this sector of the industry. It also asks what we mean by the term 'the countryside' and examines the Government's view.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
- Understand the development of tourism in the countryside
- Know the main activities carried out in the countryside
- Create a timeline of milestones in countryside tourism
- Evaluate what is meant by 'the countryside' in the UK
- Outline the key membership organisations in the sector
- Understand some of these organisations' key activities
- Analyse data from one the organisation's policy documents
- Study from further sources of information
