Historical Development of Travel and Tourism - Lesson PlanThis resource is designed specifically for Unit 1 of the Edexcel BTEC National qualification, 'The Travel and Tourism Industry', although it will be of relevance to centres following other awarding bodies' programmes. The list is not exhaustive, in that students will need to tackle additional activities in order to generate evidence that is sufficient to meet the Key Skills specification. Communication Level 3 - C3.1a Contribute to a group discussion about a complex subjectWhilst the subject discussed in the group might not be sufficiently complex, the students need to understand that participating in a group discussion is a skill that can be practiced in this session. Information Technology Level 3 - IT3.1 Plan and use different sources to search for, and select, information required for two different purposesStudents should plan their use of sources of information for Task 2. This plan will meet one of the two different purposes in the above criterion. Students should be encouraged to think of other sources than just those suggested in the activity. |
