Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)

The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) represents the interests of more than 95,000 student and professional members of the human resource profession world-wide. As well as the usual information about membership of the organisation, the SHRM Web site includes summaries of selected articles from HR Magazine, a daily news service and an annotated Internet directory of HR-related resources. There are also a number of other services, including access to working papers, which are for members of the Society only.

This is the leading American HRM site and it provides access to information on compensation, harassment, legal issues, and performance appraisal. It uses clearly classified subject headings.
