Marketing - Consumer Buying Behaviour
Understanding the consumer's needs, wants and buying behaviour is at the heart of delivering successful products to the market place. While there are currently no sites dealing specifically with the conceptual side of consumer buying behaviour, other than in the marketing texts and journals, there are a number that deal with the practical aspects. A very rich and quite fun site to explore is the Internet Food Channel (despite its US bias).
The Internet Food Channel
This site offers links through to recent articles on the various online consumer journals.
The site also offers advice on nutrition, reviews of restaurants, recipes, links to food manufactures' Web sites, food advertising slogans and much more.
From a student's point of view the Food Links offers some additional and useful material on consumer behaviour in the food markets. This is a useful site for assignments on almost any aspect of the food industry.
