Marketing - Product Development and Innovation

Research has indicated that the management of the new product development and innovation process is perceived by senior managers as critical to long term success (however that is defined). In today's markets, with increased access to information and rapidly decreasing product lifecycles, the management, development and marketing of a company's product is even more critical.

Product Development and Management Association

There are three parts of this site that are of use to the marketing student, researcher or teacher:

  • A searchable databank of articles from the Journal of Product Innovation Management (JPIM), one of the main journals in this field of research (titles and abstracts only at the moment)
  • A Bookstore which includes a catalogue of over 80 classic and new books relating to product management and development, other PDMA publications and a very useful Glossary of product development terminology
  • Visions Magazine, an online version of the Association's membership periodical, which includes full text articles and news about the product development process and product management
