Marketing - Marketing Communications (Part One)

One of the primary uses of the Internet, and one of marketing's main functions, is communication. Marketing communication organisations have recognised this potential and all are online. Many of these sites have several things in common, such as sections on communication effectiveness, cases, contacts, reports, industry standards, rules, guidelines and so on. All of these are useful for students, practitioners and teachers of marketing communications. In each case the user is faced with a simple menu of options. Some material (for example, cases) is charged for and some is restricted to members only, but there is also a great deal of useful information open to the public. One example is the Institute of Practitioners (IPA) site.

NOTE: The site of the professional institute of advertising agencies now has registration requirements. However free material is still available. It is worthwhile browsing and using the various selections including Resource Centre.
