How do I search Biz/ed?

On the top right hand corner of every page there is a search box and you can use this to search the whole of Biz/ed. Please note that this will only search Biz/ed and will not search for related web sites. To do this go to the Internet Resources section, via Reference in the top navigation bar.

Search Tips

• For the best search results, take a little time to think about which keywords will be most effective.
• For a broad search, use a single keyword such as 'firm', but be prepared for a long list of search results.
• For a more specialised search try the advanced search page (from the link under the main search box) where you can try a combination of keywords, such as 'economics AND production'.
• You can use boolean operators to refine your search:
  • Using OR to link keywords will find Biz/ed pages containing either word.
  • Using AND to link keywords will find pages containing both words. This is the default if OR is not used.
• Start your search with one or two terms. If this returns too many resources, try narrowing down the search by adding additional words. If the search doesn't find anything, try using fewer and more general words.
