 | Rip Curl Boardmasters Event - Could You Manage This? |

The Rip Curl Boardmasters Event takes place every August in Newquay, Cornwall and attracts around 150,000 people annually. It has grown from the first event in 1981 to become a major part of the UK sporting calendar. It calls itself 'the UK's largest free lifestyle sports festival' and features not only world class surfing, but also skateboarding and BMX competitions.
But it's not just about the sport, surfing's a lifestyle - there are the trade village, international DJs and the Foster's Beach Bar to organise, along with the media - Channel 4 and Sky Sports to name but two. As if that wasn't enough, how do you fund such an event, manage the volume of traffic, keep the local residents happy and deal with the local council?
Does it all sound too much, or do you think you could manage this?
