REVIEW
Allied to the section on Lie-Detecting, this section aimed to help you carry out the necessary task of judging the value of the information with which you're confronted. Though the examples looked at topical news and events, the same principles of 'evaluation' apply to any time series data you are looking at. Ask yourself detailed questions about the data. What does it show? What may lie behind the figures? What other data do I need to do a full analysis? These and many other questions are part of the vital skill of evaluation. A skill that is vital for interpreting data accurately, but also a skill that is vital when it comes to accumulating marks in an exam!
In the section there were some illustrations of business scenarios to illustrate the need for care when assessing the worth of information based on data. These may help show how important it is to look carefully at what data reveals.
Now to conclude this section, why not have a look at the death of inflation activity?
