Introduction
This section is all about the money markets and foreign exchange market. There are two main sections for you to explore:
- Foreign exchange market - the ability to exchange money into other currencies is a vital requirement for trade to take place. Find out here all about exchange rates including how they are determined and the effects they have on the rest of the economy.
- Money markets - interest rates in the economy are set by the Monetary Policy Committee of the Bank of England. Find out here how they do that, and why it is necessary.
