Mission Statement

Cameron Balloons does not have a formal business mission statement. Instead, the firm likes to express its mission in terms of an overall goal.

Their goal is simply to serve their customers. Their customers set the deadlines to which the firm works. The firm will negotiate with a customer and agree to supply the product when the customer needs it, or indeed, as fast as the firm can make it.

Many of Cameron Balloons' staff have worked with the company for more than 10 years. Some employees have been with the firm since the factory was set up in 1970. Every member of staff has been individually trained to do their job. Most workers can do more than one job. This example of multi-skilling is commonly seen amongst small to medium sized enterprises.

Aims

Some of Cameron Balloons' aims are as follows:

To provide customers with safe and excellent products
To grow steadily within their core business, which is manufacturing hot-air balloons
To protect the business against threats such as governmental legislation, competition, supplier problems, among others
To be competitive, ensuring their customers have the best product and deal possible
To campaign for balloonists at national and international level, on such issues as new increased insurance, airspace, and maintenance requirements
To ensure longevity of the business, with the underlining aim, of course, to remain a profitable business as they have done for the last 35 years
