Field Trips

Welcome to Zambia. You have now arrived at the airport in Lusaka, Zambia's capital city and must make some decisions about which field trips you want to make. Each focuses on a number of development issues of interest to economists.

There are five trips

• The Rural Life and Agriculture Tour
• The Copper Tour
• The Trade Tour
• The Aid Tour
• The Wildlife Tour

You are advised to go to the itinerary of each trip before you make up your mind about where you intend to visit.

To help familiarise yourself with the country you might want to read the background information sheets. You might also take a look at some pictures of the places and people you will visit on the trips.

Each field trip has a variety of resources including explanations of the issues and problems faced, relevant economic theories, a glossary, photographs, a statistical database, worksheets and also where necessary links to other related issues on other trips.
